Brazilian councilman wants to replace government employees with ChatGPT. And the top internet moments of 2023.
In November, Brazilian Councilman Ramiro Rosário introduced a bill written entirely by ChatGPT—it became law.
“The law itself was purposefully boring—a proposal to stop the local water company from charging residents for new water meters when they were stolen from their front yards,” writes the Wall Street Journal. “It would easily pass, calculated Rosário.”
But Rosário has bigger plans. He wants to replace government employees with AI. He notes the efficiency of AI chatbots when it comes to drafting bills and the expenses of government salaries.
